Fabric Sales Executive
Job Description
Surat is one of India's biggest fabric markets, and Job Vista is hiring Fabric Sales Executives to help mills and traders reach more buyers across Gujarat. If you understand fabrics and enjoy the energy of the trade, this role puts that knowledge to work.
Key responsibilities
- Show fabric samples, designs and qualities to garment manufacturers, traders and boutique buyers.
- Explain fabric type, finish, width, GSM and pricing clearly and suggest options within budget.
- Book orders, confirm delivery schedules and coordinate with the production team.
- Develop new customers through market visits and trade contacts, and revive inactive accounts.
- Follow up on payments and maintain healthy credit terms with buyers.
- Track which designs and qualities are in demand and pass this information to the design team.
- Handle sample requests and keep the swatch book and pattern files updated for buyers.
Who can apply
Experienced fabric or textile sales candidates are encouraged to apply, and freshers who know the textile market or have studied textiles are welcome. A 12th pass or graduate qualification is suitable. Those from loom, embroidery or garment units who know the trade will find the transition easy.
Skills that help
Good fabric knowledge, an eye for colours and designs, strong negotiation, fluent Gujarati and Hindi, familiarity with Surat's trading culture and the ability to build long-term relationships are the main strengths.
Work locations
Roles are in Surat, with sales coverage in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Navsari for wider buyer networks.
