Red flags of a job scam
- Registration, security or training fees: "pay ₹1,500 to confirm your interview" or "refundable deposit for the offer letter".
- Telegram or WhatsApp "tasks": earn money by liking videos, rating hotels or products, then "invest" to unlock bigger payouts.
- Work-from-home offers that sound too easy: high pay for data entry or typing, no interview, joining "today".
- Requests for OTPs, UPI PINs, card or bank details, or asking you to install screen-sharing apps.
- Unofficial contact details: free email addresses, unknown numbers, or job letters with spelling mistakes and no company address.
- Pressure to decide immediately or to keep the offer secret.
