Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
Job Vista is hiring Electrical Design Engineers across Gujarat for companies in the electrical and solar space. If you like turning load requirements into clear drawings and safe, efficient designs, you will find plenty to work on here.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare single line diagrams, wiring layouts and panel drawings using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Carry out load calculations and select cables, breakers, switchgear and protection devices.
- Design solar power layouts including string sizing, inverter selection and earthing details.
- Prepare bills of material and technical specifications for purchase and site teams.
- Coordinate with site engineers to resolve drawing queries and update as-built drawings.
- Follow applicable electrical standards and safety practices in every design.
- Review vendor drawings and datasheets to confirm they match the approved design.
Who can apply
Fresh engineers are welcome and experienced designers are encouraged to apply. A diploma or B.E. or B.Tech in electrical engineering is preferred, and a short course in AutoCAD or solar design adds value. Students who completed a project in power systems or solar can mention it in their resume.
Skills that help
Strong basics of electrical machines and power distribution, AutoCAD drawing speed, knowledge of IS and IEC standards, attention to detail and the ability to explain a design to site teams all help.
Work locations
Design teams are based in Surat, with additional positions in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Vapi for industrial and solar projects.
