Key responsibilities
- Write clean, secure and reusable PHP code for websites and web applications.
- Build features using frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter and follow the team's coding standards.
- Design MySQL tables, write efficient queries and integrate third party APIs.
- Connect server side logic with front end pages built in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Test, debug and optimise applications to keep them fast and stable.
- Use Git for version control and take part in code reviews with teammates.
- Update older code bases, upgrade versions and reduce technical debt where possible.
