Job Description
Job Vista is hiring Algorithmic Strategy Developers for finance and trading teams working across Gujarat. This role sits where markets meet code: you design rule-based trading strategies, test them on real data and help turn promising ideas into dependable systems.
Key responsibilities
- Research and design systematic trading strategies using market data and quantitative methods.
- Backtest strategies carefully on historical data and check results for bias and overfitting.
- Build and maintain code for signal generation, order logic and execution.
- Set risk limits, position sizing and stop rules, and monitor live performance.
- Analyse slippage and trading costs to improve how orders are executed.
- Document ideas and results clearly for the trading and risk teams.
- Keep up with exchange rules and market changes that affect how strategies should run.
Who can apply
A postgraduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or computer science is preferred. Freshers with excellent quantitative and coding skills are welcome, and experienced quant developers are encouraged to apply. A strong public portfolio, coding projects or trading research can offset limited work experience.
Skills that help
Strong Python or C++, solid statistics and probability, understanding of equity and derivatives markets, experience with pandas or similar tools, careful testing habits and clear written communication all help.
Work locations
Roles are based in Surat, with some positions in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Navsari, and hybrid arrangements may be possible depending on the employer.
