Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Store Officer to manage our inventory and ensure the smooth operation of our storage facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring that the store is kept clean and well-organized. This role is crucial in supporting our supply chain operations and ensuring that all inventory processes are efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock counts, and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Receipt and Dispatch: Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, ensure proper documentation, and manage the dispatch of goods to various departments or customers.
• Storage Organization: Ensure that goods are stored in an orderly manner, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the storage areas.
• Stock Control: Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming goods for quality and damage, and coordinate returns or exchanges with suppliers if necessary.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies in all store operations.

Skill & Experience:

• Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience as a store officer or in a similar inventory management role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues effectively.
• Physical Ability: Capability to lift and move heavy items, as required by the role.
