Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of required information.
- Tax Compliance: Manage and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and business strategy.
Skill & Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
