Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses to support research and development, quality control, or clinical activities. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Handling: Receive, label, and prepare samples for analysis, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Testing and Analysis: Perform laboratory tests and experiments, such as chemical analyses, microbiological assays, or diagnostic tests, according to established protocols.
  • Instrument Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring proper calibration and performance.
  • Data Recording: Record and document test results, observations, and experimental procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control standards and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to laboratory safety regulations and protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including scientists, researchers, and laboratory staff, to achieve common goals.

Skill & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Laboratory Experience: Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, either through coursework, internships, or employment, is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures, with experience using laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and the ability to interpret test results and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate test results and findings to colleagues and supervisors.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the laboratory team.
