Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional looking to start their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Assist in processing vendor invoices, verifying transactions, and preparing payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Assist in preparing customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
• Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Expense Tracking: Assist in tracking and categorizing expenses for proper accounting treatment.
• Assistance in Audits: Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering requested documents and information.
• Ad hoc Tasks: Assist with other accounting and finance-related tasks and projects as assigned.

Skill & Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field; internship experience is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
