Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Executive to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of goods and managing logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch Coordination: Schedule and coordinate the dispatch of goods, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Route Planning: Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues that arise during the delivery process.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle logs, and shipment details.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle and resolve any logistical issues or delays that occur, working proactively to find solutions and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and transportation regulations, including vehicle maintenance and driver conduct.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of stock for dispatch.

Skill & Experience:

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are advantageous.
  • Logistics Experience: Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, with a strong understanding of transportation and delivery processes.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and team members.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dispatch software and other logistics management tools.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data management.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
