Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Computer Hardware Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing computer hardware components, such as circuit boards, processors, and memory devices. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and the ability to work on complex hardware projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring: Monitor computer systems, networks, and applications to ensure proper functioning and performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues, providing support to end-users as needed.
  • Data Management: Perform regular data backups and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Software Updates: Install, update, and maintain software applications and operating systems to keep systems current and secure.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on computer hardware, including desktops, servers, and peripherals.
  • Job Scheduling: Schedule and run batch jobs, ensuring that all scheduled tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system operations, issues, and resolutions, and prepare reports for management.
  • Security Compliance: Follow security protocols and procedures to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure from threats and unauthorized access.

Skill & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring systems and documenting activities.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with team members and end-users.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Security Awareness: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure system security and data protection.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with IT team members and other departments to achieve common goals.
